September 2021 · 20 diary entries
The road trip that started the blog: Michael, Zoe and Bentley exploring in our hired motorhome, Marv. From Stonehenge and Land’s End to John o’ Groats and back, we packed in surfing, waterfalls, lochs, reindeer and plenty of well-earned pub dinners.

Our journey
Cornwall → Somerset → Wales → Lake District → Scotland → Hadrian’s Wall → Whitby → home.
The moments we remember
- Stonehenge, surfing at Sennen Cove and the zip lines at the Eden Project.
- Waterfall walks and canyoning in Wales, followed by a return to Betws-y-Coed.
- Off-roading at Graythwaite, kayaking on Windermere, a Loch Lomond cruise and the Jacobite train.
- Loch Ness, John o’ Groats, whisky tasting in Brora and meeting the Cairngorm reindeer.
- A windswept Hadrian’s Wall walk, the Angel of the North and a whistle-stop visit to Whitby.
Twenty posts tell the story. We changed plans along the way: the Isle of Skye and the overnight near Robin Hood’s Bay were cancelled, so they are shown as planned places on the map.
